I am not fooling you or myself.

It's April 1st,and I seriously need to get used to the idea I have a blog now. It's going to require a daily effort to sit down and write. People say Old habits die hard,but I believe new habits are harder to birth. God help me!

FORgiveNESS

Forgiveness means to FORget the wrong and GIVE your heart to God to mend it. A few years ago, a 'friend' really hurt me. She was someone I was not close to but just had a habit of 'paving' the way for me.  At first, I found it childish that she would say things about me that were not true and would read several meanings to my actions or words. At first I thought she would stop, but she didn't. Because I was not a talker, I was waiting to see Karma catch up with her; but Karma never did. When my other relationships began to get sour based on this assassination of character, I just internalized the hurt and tainted my perspective of everyone; everyone was sent to hurt me. Enough Already!

With Summer comes a restless three year old who is awake before 7:00 am and is knocking on my bedroom door. It dawned on me  that I had to find a way to channel Arielle's energy so that we both wouldn't tear our hairs out. While shopping yesterday, I decided to buy a few everyday items to keep Arielle busy; straws, finger paints, flour, food coloring. With the help of Google and some worksheets, I hope to keep her busy and make her wiser. It is essential that she's more intelligent after the summer break. So, I drew up a table so we could establish a routine for work, and then play. Today, we revised some of what she learnt in Literacy last term; phonic sounds s,a,t, and i. Then we read some words. and we decided to snip at some colorful straws and make a patterned necklace. It was so much fun for her. I wish you all the best in keeping your LO busy at this time.
